About Troop 404
Troop 404 was born in the middle of chaos — a global pandemic where everything went online, and screens became the new outdoors. But three young Scouts had a different idea. They wanted to trade pixels for pine needles, Zoom calls for campfires, and Wi-Fi for wide-open skies. From that spark of rebellion came the start of Troop 404 — a troop that refused to stay “found” indoors.
Since then, we’ve built something different. Troop 404 camps twelve months a year, through snow, rain, and Idaho dust. Every outing is a reminder that adventure doesn’t wait for perfect weather or Wi‑Fi. We live the motto:
"Not Found - Not All Who Wander Are Lost"
We’re a scout-led troop, where youth make the decisions, lead the activities, and learn by doing — sometimes the hard way, but always the right way. Our adults guide, mentor, and occasionally remind everyone where the tent poles are supposed to go.
Throughout the year, Troop 404 runs fundraisers that keep the program accessible to all families. We believe that Scouting should be about skills and stories, not expenses. Every dollar raised helps more Scouts experience the kind of adventures that don’t come with a price tag.
For us, “Not Found” isn’t just a name — it’s a way of life. It’s the choice to get lost in the right direction. To seek challenges, chase sunsets, and make memories that can’t be downloaded.
